Sure! It will fit any camera that has the standard tripod screw mount.

● Can we shoot macro photography with this tripod?
You can shoot macro with any tripod. you should be more concerned more about focus stacking if you want to do macro.

● Has anyone taken this tripod on an international flight? Is it allowed on carry-on?
Yes, and yes. We have one that went to the Netherlands, and is on it's way back today on Air France.

● Will it support canon 7d mark ii and tamron sp 150-600mm f/5-6.3 di vc usd g2 lens weight?
Yes it will. I have the 5D Mark III and the 70 -200 2.8 lens. The tripod is very strudy. 

● How is this tripod in portrait orientation? is it sturdy and firm? many others i have tried are very wobbly or lose in portrait.
It does quite well in portrait orientation, I was concerned about this also before I purchased. The ball head locks down tightly at every angle I've tried. I use a Nikon D7100 with battery grip and a heavier 17-55mm f2.8 lens.
